The Beginning

How this whole thing started? Well, here's the story:
One day our physics teacher told us she had received an email about an interesting ESA (European Space Agency) project for students who study in ESA member states. At that point all we knew was that it is entitled the 2012 CanSat Competition and it has something to do with building a small satellite-like thing, which must fit inside a soda can. Interesting, isn't it ?! At first there were about 6 students interested in it but finally only the four of us decided to send in our proposal. On the day when the results should've been announced, we got an email in which the project's team apologized and wrote that the announcement would be delayed. A few days later:
Our team was chosen to take part in the 2012 CanSat competition, which means we can participate in April at the Launch Campaign in Norway. This is a European project so other 13 teams were selected, as well. Those teams are from: Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Norway, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Portugal and Spain. It is very important to mention is that up to this competition no Romanian high school students have participated in a project like this.
