Finalists – 2015 Romanian CanSat Competition

The eight teams selected by ESERO Romania in collaboration with the Education Department of the European Space Agency (ESA) to participate in the finals of the 2015 Romanian CanSat Competition based on the submitted project proposals are the following:

·         Team Nexus Suceava, from the “Petru Rareş” National College and the “Ştefan cel Mare” National College - Suceava, coordinated by teacher Şutac Victor

·         Team TOMIS, from the “Mircea cel Bătrân” National College - Constanța, coordinated by teacher Băraru Ion

·         Team Rocket Engineers, from the “Ienăchiță Văcărescu” National College from Târgovişte, coordinated by teacher State Gabriel

·         Team Astrobotica Spirit 001, from the Astrobotic Club and the “Carol I” National College from Craiova, coordinated by teacher Georgescu Octavian

·         Team LGM SAT ONE from “Grigore Moisil” Theoretical High School from Timişoara, coordinated by teacher Cucu Dorina

·         Team Pegas from “Nicolae Bălcescu” Theoretical High School and “Lucian Blaga” Theoretical High School from Cluj-Napoca, coordinated by teachers Gavril Tecar and Bâlc Vasile

·         Team SzMK CanSat from “Székely Mikó” Theoretical High School from Sfântu Gheorghe, team coordinated by teacher Pető Mária

·         Team INGENIUM from “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics from Bucureşti, coordinated by teacher Ioana Stoica.

The launch campaign of the Romanian National CanSat Competition will take place at Timișoara at the beginning of April 2015. There the CanSat’s of the finalists will be launch up to an altitude of 1 km to descent and land on the ground using a parachute system.

The winning team will get the chance to participate in the finals of the 2015 European CanSat Competition, organized by ESA near Lisbon, Portugal, between 25^th and 28^th of June 2015.
